What it does

A diary that draws itself

Every entry feeds one picture of your travels: the globe, the statistics, the journal and the gallery all read from the same places you logged.

A globe, and the progress behind it

Real country and region boundaries, shaded deeper the more you travel there. Zoom in and cities appear; zoom out and a continent tells the story.

Log a place in seconds

Search a place, pick it, done. Dates, notes, photos and a whole multi-city journey are there when you want them and out of the way when you don't.

Private by default, yours to take

No public profiles, no feed, no likes, no comments. Passport works offline after the first visit, and your diary exports as one file whenever you like.

How your data is handled

Two ways to use it, both private

You choose where your diary lives, and you can change your mind. Neither option publishes anything: Passport has no way to share your entries with anyone else.

On this device

Choose “Continue on this device” and Passport never sends your diary anywhere. It is stored in this browser, and only this browser.

  • Entries, places, photos and preferences live in the browser’s own database
  • No account, no email address, nothing uploaded
  • Clearing site data erases it — export a backup first
  • It cannot reach your other devices; that is what an account is for

With an account

An account stores a private copy of your diary so it syncs between your devices. Only you can read it, and nothing about it is public.

  • Stored: your email, entries, notes, place snapshots with coordinates, photos, preferences and sync metadata
  • Hosted on Supabase (database and private photo storage) and Vercel (website and delivery)
  • Errors go to Sentry with personal data scrubbed out, and no session replay
  • Private, but not end-to-end encrypted: the servers hold the keys, which is what makes sync and recovery work

No advertising, no data selling, no tracking across other sites, and no analytics that read your notes, photos, coordinates or search text. You can export everything as a file, and delete your account — rows, photos and sign-in — from Account settings.
